problem with setting the timing Suzuki sidekick?

put new motor in and having problems with timing. got tdc. firing order right and got it advanced all the way . but it should of only been turned half way??? it runs and idles, but still needs more power.fing order says 1-3-4-2 but it seems like fowl plug or crossed wire. maybe something in fuel injection???

First of all are all the timing marks where they should be. Mechanical timing of the camshaft to crank shaft is important.



TDC can also be on the exhaust stroke. To verivy if you are in the correct stroke refer to the timing marks, and observe the intake valve on #1 cylinder.



After the timing belt is in place and tight, roll the crank shaft 2 revolutions and re-check the timing marks. Refer to a repair manual for further instructions to finish the job.
