Basically you spend more money and get nothing in return.

Some people think they get better gas mileage. Try using a tank or two of regular. Check you gas mileage. Then compare it to your higher octane gas Miles Per Gallon.

Even if you did get 3 or 4 more MPG, the cost is still out of line for the slight increase of MPG

Nothing, I've heard of it actually harming the engine. Most people are under the impression the higher grade fuels burn hotter or faster or something like that. An octane rating on a fuel is the amount of pressure it can handle before spontaneously combustion. Only higher compression engines need it. Rule of thumb, if your engine isn't knocking then stick with regular fuel.

Look no need to worry about.....

Just use your high high Octane Premium fuel regularly if you want to see the difference.....

It makes the engine smoother, and also improves a bit of your mileage....

But remember, the difference will start coming when you get the tank filled second or the third time.....

So be patient if really want to see a change.....

All the Best............!!!

autos that require larger-octane rated gas in a large number of situations have larger compression or are turbocharged (which in reality creates larger compression). larger-octane fuels face up to detonation by using compression and reduce octane fuels do no longer. Knocking is even as the compression of the gas and not in any respect the spark motives the explosion of the gas vapor in the cylinder. An engine is designed to have the explosion of the gas ensue even as each and every of the parts, valves and such, are in the right position. even as an engine is knocking the parts are in the incorrect position and damage ought to outcome. On older autos without knock sensors even as accepted is substituted for correct cost, the automobile will knock and certain damage your engine. maximum new autos have some type of computer managed knock sensor which will replace the timing of the engine on the fee of performance with the intention to maintain away from knocking even as decrease grade fuels are used. On older engines carbon buildup in the cylinders can each and every now and then enhance the compression a touch. with the intention to attempt a gas on your automobile fill the automobile with accepted gas, ascertain the automobile is nicely warmed up and carry out an total throttle acceleration run with the air con on. in case you listen knocking, then decrease backpedal the throttle. If the knocking persists even lower than mild acceleration you want to apply a larger grade of gas.

Here's the correct answer. Most likely, what will happen...is nothing, except it may possibly run better. Your car probably doesn't require high octane gas anyway, so you won't notice much if any difference. Actually the higher grade gas might help clean your fuel injection system. It won't hurt anything though. So relax.

It is ok to put premium in your vehicle when ever you get the chance. It helps clean out your injectors and you'll get better gas miliage. It burns cleaner, but costs you more. Premium does burn hotter and is made for high performance. Only use it every once and awhile.

You just spend more money and get nothing in return. In the unlikely event it increased your fuel mileage by 1/10th mile per gallon, you will not see a savings. Stick with the regular.

I think it just helps mileage and performance, but I have heard that if you have used one octane level for a while, it is better to stick with that level.

You can actually get worse gas mileage and no performance improvement. Why bother?

Your gas bill goes up, and in the long term, could damage your vehicle's engine. It burns hotter, and if your vehicle isn't desigined for that, it could damage things.

The gas bill goes high up and you don't even get a damn cookie outta it

You waste money on something that's not necessary. I doubt you will see any performance improvement.
